Reaching a person.

A person reads everything sent here. But two kinds of questions have much faster answers than any inbox — check the first two sections before you write.

Someone may be in danger

Call 911, or the emergency number where you are. If you’re holding an overdue notice from us, it names the agency that covers the area — call them. Email cannot help fast enough, and Porchlight is not a rescue service: we never contact authorities, we tell the people a hiker chose, and a person decides what to do next.

Got a message from us?

The link in that message is the fastest answer there is. It shows the plan, who else knows, and what to do next — no account, no sign-in, nothing to install. And every preference works from the message itself: the STOP and MANAGE instructions it carries take effect immediately, which is quicker than any reply we could send.

Using the app?

The quickest route is Help and support inside the app — requests from there arrive with the details we’d otherwise have to ask you for, so the first reply is usually the answer.

The addresses

General inquiries: hello@porchlighted.com
Privacy questions and data requests: privacy@porchlighted.com
Unwanted messages: abuse@porchlighted.com
A person reads all three — you’ll usually hear back within a day.

Not a rescue service

Porchlight tells the people you choose; it does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.

If you need to summon help beyond cell service, carry a satellite communicator.
